Israel is walling off an area in the Upper Galilee near the Lebanese border and the Israeli-occupied side of Golan, citing what it claims are security threats from Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement.
Israel’s Channel 2 News has aired footage of Israeli troops constructing a wall in Kibbutz Misgav Am near the Lebanese border by placing sections of concrete next to each other.
Israeli regime officials claim the wall is meant to prevent the potential entry of Hezbollah fighters to conduct attacks.
Israel waged two wars on Lebanon in 2000 and 2006. About 1,200 Lebanese, most of them civilians, lost their lives during the 33-day war in the summer of 2006.
A senior Israeli military official warned that another war would be “devastating” to Lebanon as Tel Aviv would unleash all of its military capabilities on the Arab country.
Israel is walling off an area in the Upper Galilee near the Lebanese border and the Israeli-occupied side of Golan, citing what it claims are security threats from Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement.

Major General Yair Golan, Israel’s deputy chief of staff, said on Wednesday Hezbollah had developed capabilities that present “unprecedented” threats to Israel.

In 2012, a similar wall was set up by Tel Aviv near the Lebanese town of Metulla.

The recent wall construction came two days after the Israeli army started a military drill in the northern occupied territories. The military exercise reportedly involved large numbers of Israeli aircraft, vehicles and army troops.

The drill was geared toward “maintaining competency and vigilance of the troops,” an Israeli military statement said.

The Israeli army also held a two-day general drill in and around the northern city of Safed on the weekend.

The latest development came after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday ruled out any possibility of returning the Israeli-occupied section of the Golan Heights to Syria.

Iran, Germany, the Arab League and the US joined Syria in rejecting Tel Aviv’s claim over the occupied Golan Heights.

Israel seized the Golan Heights from Syria after the 1967 Six Day War and illegally annexed the region in 1981 – a move unanimously rejected the same year by the UN Security Council.

Trojan Horses and Color Revolutions: The Role of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED)

William Blum William Blum 7 August 2017 Image: Award winning author William Blum This article is a chapter from  Rogue State: A Guide to the World’s Only Superpower  by William Blum published in 2005. How many Americans could identify the National Endowment for Democracy? An organization which often does exactly the opposite of what its name implies. The NED was set up in the early 1980s under President Reagan in the wake of all the negative revelations about the CIA in the second half of the 1970s. The latter was a remarkable period. Spurred by Watergate – the Church committee of the Senate, the Pike committee of the House, and the Rockefeller Commission, created by the president, were all busy investigating the CIA. Seemingly every other day there was a new headline about the discovery of some awful thing, even criminal conduct, the CIA had been mixed up in for years. The Agency was getting an exceedingly bad name, and it was causing the powers-th...

CIA Backed Color Revolutions

F. William Engdahl New Eastern Outlook 1 October 2017 Many readers likely never heard the name of the remarkable Serbia-born political operator named  Srđa Popović . Yet he and his organization, CANVAS, have played a lead role in most every CIA-backed Color Revolution since he led the toppling of Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic in 2000, at least fifty according to last count. Now he has turned his sights on Hungary and Hungary’s popular and defiant Prime Minister Victor Orban . On September 8, the professional regime-change specialist Srđa Popović came to Budapest and joined with the anti-Orban opposition groups in front of the Hungarian Parliament. It‘s clear that Popović was not in town to promote his Hungarian book on nonviolent regime change but rather to give aid to the anti-Orban parties before Hungarian elections in spring of 2018. Many in Hungary smell the oily hand of Hungarian-born regime-change financier George Soros behind the Popović appe...

Afghanistan, Iraq. Hollywood’s Complicity: How Soon the Suckers Forget!

Philip A. Farruggio Global Research 12 May 2018 Featured image: George W. Bush with Ellen Degeneres, backstage after the former President appeared on “Ellen” and was hailed by her as a good friend (Source: @theellenshow/Instagram) How many lies and how many innocent lives have been sent out into the ethers by men like Junior Bush and his Bush/Cheney Cabal? Too many is the answer. Yet, as with the case with the Irish singing star (and humanitarian) Bono, Junior Bush has been ‘Born Again Philanthropist’. Well, good for him, but… that should not and DOES not absolve him from his war crimes. Screenshot AVC News, May 27, 2017 The real shame of all of this is just how short a memory do Ms. Ellen Degeneres and Mr. Bono have? I mean, come on you two  Media stars , have you both forgotten what transpired beginning in October of 2001? Does this writer need to once again review the  horrific  damage we,  and  our NATO led coal...
