Once again, Ne News failed to provide a Week in Review last week (sorry), but there has been some major stories over the past two weeks, from the denial of service on the website of New Eastern Outlook (bad) to a possible break up of the European Union (good for humanity).
Denial of Service at New Eastern Outlook
If you trying to access New Eastern Outlook over the past couple of weeks, you would've seen a "504" on your web browser. That is because there was an attack on New Eastern Outlook on March 19 (https://www.journal-neo.org/2018/03/25/neo-has-come-under-attack/). It is believed that this DDoS came from Washington (the so-called "Champion of Democracy") who was getting uncomfortable with the news that sites like New Eastern Outlook (as well as other progressive, left-wing, anti-war sites, as well as international sites such as Russia Today, China Global Television Network and Press TV) were reporting the real news (and not the latest sex scandal involving US President Donald Trump, like most of the media was reporting).
What happened at New Eastern Outlook is proof that the regime in Washington is not practicing what they preach. Of course, it should be noted that what happened to New Eastern Outlook will NOT be the last example of censorship, as Google has censored sites such as World Socialist Web Site, Global Research, Counterpunch and other websites that tells the truth. And no doubt, this site will be attacked as well.
The Breakup of the Euro...and the European Union
Speaking of undemocratic regimes, we could soon see the end of an undemocratic regime in Europe- the European Union. Over the past week, Russia Today has been reporting that governments in Europe are repatriating their gold for a possible return to national currencies that around 17 countries yielded (https://www.rt.com/business/422200-death-knell-euro-gold/). However, there is a movement that could cause the collapse of the European Union itself, and that the Brexit vote of 2016 was the start of the collapse (https://www.journal-neo.org/2018/03/18/opposition-grows-to-merkel-macron-eu-superstate/)
Most of the far-right are publicly "opposed" to the European Union, but if you look at history (as well as several editorials here on Ne News, the biggest supporters of these superstates (such as the European Union) are from the far-right. It is also worth noting that the so-called "founding fathers" of the European Union were affiliated with the far-right, including Walter Hallstein, who was a lawyer for the Nazis, and he was joined as a founding father of the European Union by Gaetano Martino (who was a member of the Fascist movement in Italy) and Antoine Pinay (who was a member of the "National Council of Vichy", which was a puppet regime controlled by the Nazis) (http://www.nazi-roots-of-brussels-eu.org/).
While Ne News (as an internationalist) is opposed to the European Union (as well as other supranational entities), Ne News supports international cooperation WITHOUT seceding any national sovereignty. For millennia, different cultures worked together without a need for supranational entities, and this is still the case today. People in different countries can work together without supranational entities, despite what people tell you when they say that we need these supranational entities in order to conduct joint research.
Even without supranational entities such as the European Union, countries can still trade, have cultural exchanges, and even trade. People can even study in other countries without any need for supranational entities.
Bayer to Merge With Monsanto
And finally, the European Union has approved Bayer's US$62.5 billion takeover of controversial US GMO and pesticide company Monsanto (https://www.rt.com/business/421959-eu-approves-monsanto-bayer/) with Bayer winning approval from anti-trust on Wednesday. It is expected that this mega-merger will reshape the agrochemical industry. However, as part of the deal, Bayer has offer to sell a swathe of assets to boost rival BASF.
It is worth noting that both Bayer and BASF have links to IG Farben, a company that had links to Nazi Germany who wanted a cartel headquarters to control all of Europe, and eventually teh world (https://www.dr-rath-foundation.org/2018/03/european-regulators-approve-bayers-purchase-of-gmo-pesticide-goliath-monsanto/). And it is worth noting that the boss of Monsanto eats...ORGANIC FOOD. This means, if organic food is good enough for the boss of Monsanto, then organic food is good for the rest of us, and we should stop eating GMOs.
