There is an often stated comment that we would be conditioned to love our oppressors and hate the oppressed. Well, that is what we are seeing throughout the world, as governments are cracking down on people such as immigrants and refugees, allegedly to stop George Soros. While Ne News is highly critical of George Soros, it is worth noting that governments are invoking George Soros' name to crack down on refugees and immigrants. It is refugees and immigrants that are being oppressed, and governments are conditioning the population to hate these people instead of governments who are oppressing the people, and most of the governments who are doing the oppressing are far-right wing governments, determined to distract people's attention away from cuts in spending on education, the arts and culture, health care and social security among others. And no doubt Viktor Orbán is using immigrants and refugees to distract the Hungarian people from the encroaching police state that is the European Union (which is by the way supported by the far-right).
The people of Europe are becoming more aware of the encroaching police state that is the European Union, as well as the Nazi roots of the European Union (it is worth noting that the first President of the European Commission Walter Hallstein was a lawyer for the Nazis and most of the founding fathers of the European Union were from the far-right). But the far-right are using people such as immigrants and refugees (who are entitled to seek asylum under international law) to distract the people from the uncomfortable truths of the far-right wing origins of the European Union.
And while Ne News is highly critical of people such as George Soros and the Koch Brothers (the latter are rarely targeted in the alternative media), the question that we need to ask ourselves is this: Is the fight against the globalists bringing out the worst of humanity? The answer to this question is yes, the fight against the globalists are bringing out the worst of humanity. Countries such as the United States of America, and military alliances such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization are bombing countries such as Syria (and this has been happening for the past seven years, as well as the West's support for Daesh) and Libya that has caused the refugee problem; but governments in the West (and in particular the European Union) are placing sole blame of this on George Soros instead of governments who bombed these countries.
Before the bombings of Syria and Libya, there weren't many refugees fleeing these countries as these countries were considered to be stable; but the situation in these countries became unstable following the bombing of these countries by NATO (of which most European Union member states are members of). At the current time, Libya is struggling to stay together. Syria is struggling to stay together. But there is a strong possibility that the people of the European Union is unaware of this. And on top of this, refugees seeking asylum is not illegal, but the far-right throughout the world is not expecting their constituents to be aware of this, and it is often argued that "ignorance is bliss". It is appearing that in this aspect, "ignorance is strength", as people are unaware of the world around them, nor are they given the background to understand the issues at hand (in fact, most people in the West know more about the Kardashians than international law).
In the 1948 novel Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell, people are conditioned to love Big Brother and hate the people oppressed by Big Brother (mostly dissidents and prisoners of war). This is what we are seeing now, in which immigrants and refugees are being oppressed, but people are being conditioned to hate by governments.
The people of Hungary (and in other countries) have more in common with refugees and immigrants than with the political elite in their own country. That means that the people of Hungary have more in common with refugees from Syria than with the government of Viktor Orbán. And while Ne News is opposed to the globalists, it is becoming that the fight against the globalists (such as George Soros or the Koch Brothers) is not bringing out the best of humanity, but the worst.
100 000 years ago, humanity migrated from Africa to other parts of the world. As mentioned in a 2016 editorial "Evolution of Culture, and How It Is Just Like The Flow of a River" (http://nenews2016.blogspot.com.au/2016/02/editorial-evolution-of-culture-and-how.html), people migrated to other parts of the world. This means that everyone is a descendant of immigrants (even the native people who are descendants of immigrants who arrived many millennia ago), regardless of whether they were born there or migrated there. Migration is the story of humanity and the story of humanity is migration. And this story clearly predates Soros, even if Orbán disagrees.
And here's hoping that the story of humanity's past will bring out the best of people, instead of bringing out the worst of people as we have seen in Hungary.
