1 January 2018
Happy New Year and welcome to 2018 (at the time of writing, those on mainland Europe or Asia and parts of Africa would already be in 2018, while the Western Hemisphere are still in 2017 but will welcome in 2018 over the next 12 hours). At the time of writing (in UTC+11), it is 10:30 on Monday 1 January 2018; and already there is predictions of what will happen in 2018 in regards to the dying American Empire as it tries to overthrow democratic governments in Latin America (https://www.globalresearch.ca/latin-america-in-limbo-in-2018-washingtons-operation-condor-2-0/5624471) and in particular Venezuela and Bolivia through so-called "colour revolutions" which is about overthrowing governments that would govern for the people and replace it with a government that would govern their countries for the American Empire. And in Iran, this is also happening in Iran with recent "protests" against the government (https://www.globalresearch.ca/what-is-happening-in-iran-is-another-color-revolution-underway/5624505) (https://www.globalresearch.ca/have-trump-and-netanyahu-conspired-to-topple-irans-government/5624518) and Pakistan has been placed "on notice" by the regime in Washington for "habouring terrorists" as it considers using the Chinese Yuan to trade with China (https://www.globalresearch.ca/a-currency-war-against-pakistan-the-u-s-puts-pakistan-on-notice-for-harboring-terrorists-as-pakistan-considers-using-the-yuan-to-trade-with-china/5624522).
In addition, the media in the United States is beginning to whitewash the crimes against humanity that has been committed by the American Empire at a time that many people around the world see the United States of America as the biggest threat to world peace (https://www.globalresearch.ca/american-media-trumpwashes-70-years-of-us-crimes-what-is-this-liberal-rules-based-international-order/5624501).
That is what happening around the world, but what will Ne News be like in 2018? Hopefully every Friday, there will be an editorial, and on Saturday, there will be a summary of the events of the past week. In addition, hopefully there will be a book coming out in the second half of the year talking about current affairs and how programs such as A Current Affair in Australia and Inside Edition in the United States of America has moved away from "current affairs" and is now more tabloid with news such as "dodgy builders" and alleged "welfare cheats" as well as consumer reports. And in February, Ne News will be on Minds and possibly Ello, so you would have more ways to connect with Ne News in 2018. In the middle of the year, there will be a video series from South Korea including a video from the Demilitarised Zone that borders South Korea from North Korea, which is fast becoming a flashpoint in the potential conflict between the North Koreans and the United States of America, even though North Korea voted to ban nuclear weapons, while the United States of America boycotted the same conference (http://www.globalresearch.ca/122-nations-create-treaty-to-ban-nuclear-weapons/5598230).
2018 is going to be an exciting year here at Ne News and hopefully you join Ne News on the journey through the year that is 2018.
